Why can we agree to just go to no gift parties. Children need to stop being rewarded for existing.

NY magazine just ran an article on advice for all different life situations, and they say you are expected to bring gifts to a no gift party. I found that advice very annoying. But I would never judge someone for not having a no gifts party as I think as a guest they are awkward because some people follow it, some people don’t, and some don’t know what to do.
They're wrong! No gifts means no gifts. No one who writes that will be offended if you follow instructions.
