Chick fil a franchise has a different model compared to other fast food place - the “owner” of the location has to commit to actually running the place full time. It’s actually very interesting:

How has nobody brought up CFA's homophobia yet?

For us it's the gluten free chicken nuggets. Most other fast food places are woefully short on GF offerings.

Those are my reasons exactly. It’s our most frequent road trip lunch.

CFA doesn't need gimmicks - like the Popeyes sandwich - which isn't sustainable

What is gimmicky or unsustainable about the chicken sandwich at Popeye’s?

Popeye's and Roaming Rooster are more caloric and likely to trigger indigestion. CFA hits the sweet spot between bland and regret-inducing.

CFA gives me terrible stomach pain; always has.

College scholarships for employees.

It was great environment for our upper-class kid for the 4 months he spent there. he worked after school and had most of Sat and all day sundays off. The McDonalds next door had cranky employees.

They offer need-based scholarships to their HS employees who go to college.

They hire cheaper, more manipulable employees, you mean.

Yep. They are the only place I will wait in a long line because I know it is going to move,

When I go to my local Chik-fil—A, it’s well staffed and well run. You can see every employee working. They’re trained in how to provide good customer service. You only have a long wait for your food if they’re packed.

When I go to my local Popeyes, it’s chronically understaffed, and yet, the teenagers up front seem to spend an inordinate amount of time standing around, like they’re not sure what they’re supposed to be doing. I rarely see an adult there. There’s NO effort to give customers a positive experience. It takes a long time to get the food.

I'll choose Chic-fila-A over any other fast food place.

Yep. Their customer service is consistently excellent and fast. I don't know how they screen and train employees but they are great at it.
They should have been put in charge of Covid vaccine delivery.

I agree that small local places are often better (and Roaming Rooster is great), but it's a real stretch to say CF isn't good.
