Try Avon Skin So Soft oil in the shower. I apply, shave, then rinse off.

These. Also Eucerin is good. Thick, but good.

Curel ultra healing is ok; Seaweed company unscented is great but you don't get much in the 6 oz tube :/

I like Cetaphil and Eucerin. Apply right out of the shower with skin still damp.

Aveeno, but I have to use it as a preventative every day. I keep the pump bottle by the shower and apply to wet skin before I dry off. Pretty much every day from November to April. The key for me is to prevent dryness; it's really hard to fix it if I get dry flaky skin.

Also make sure you're hydrated.

+1 A humidifier, even in one room, can really make a difference.

+1 I haven’t tried the lotions, but the creams that I’ve tried are excellent.

Sounds like you’d benefit from a humidifier as well.

Yes, i've also read and force myself to do so even though I do not like putting lotion on my hand before I style my hair. Really takes the ash out of the dryness.

This. I use the jergens wet skin and it’s great. My skin used to be horribly dry (a derm once prescribed me body lotion my skin was so dry) and now it’s totally fine.I’ve found the jergens is easier to apply to wet skin then regular lotion, which can feel and look like it’s just sliding around on the surface.

Amlactin is good for the red bumpy skin on the backs of upper arms if you have that, though.
