Is your daughter tiny? I just bought a pair of these for my 6 year old and even though I specifically bought the kind they sell for older girls, they are the teeny tiniest earrings I've ever seen.I had to send them back.
I am OP and just opened the box of In Season earrings and they are TINY too! Like, for a small baby sized tiny. I am going to have to give them to someone else (I threw away the packaging) and re-buy earrings for teens and hope they're an appropriate size for my niece. It's too bad, because they are otherwise very cute. But I need a magnifying glass to see them.

Budget is $50, she's 7, likes studs rather than hoops, and loves aqua, mint green, purple, and goes to a fancy private school and her family is kind of fancy (I'm not, hence my small budget). Can you link to nice yet inexpensive earrings? Thank you!

Maybe occasionally get out of your cocoon of sameness. In my culture kids ears are pierced when they are 11 days old. Only thing trashy is your ignorance and need to attack anonymous people on the internet.

Anonymous wrote:Thanks for the links to companies that weren't coming up when I searched for kids earrings. Is pure gold (14k? 18k?) or surgical grade titanium the best idea for materials (notwithstanding no knowledge of a metal allergy or sensitivity in my child) vs. silver plating or stainless steel?

I know my family well. Niece would open them, be sweet in thanking me, and quietly ask her mom if they were good quality. Surely I can find sparkly earrings that aren't cheap quality.

Anonymous wrote:My 7 year old just got her ears pierced in December and is still in the starter pair from Claire's. She is tiny so adult sized studs will look huge and funny on her little ears. Is basically anything at Claire's fair game for her next pair, or do I have to worry about infections if I buy cheapo metals from there as these will be her first earrings to change into?
