I don't care what phone people use but I do think something like 'old person who doesn't know how to use technology' when someone over 50 pulls out a flip phone.

People value different things. Your brother values having the latest phone. For you, that isn't something you value. He was immature to say "ew" out loud. Is he 5?

My teen kid has figured out that the endless release of new versions is just a marketing scam. It gets people to feel like they are missing something important. But it's all minor tweaks that cost $$$ to keep up with.

I really don't like texting people with androids (pics don't go through, conversations get messed up the second an android joins), but I don't really care about age. I figure most people keep their phone until it dies? We make good money, could upgrade whenever, and that's what we do.

I too, have an old phone. I’d appreciate it if anyone who judges me because of my old phone could convince Apple that there really is a market for small phones.

I bought the iPhone 7 the day the X came out, so I’m not one to need or want the latest and greatest and tend to be a few generations behind. Eventually I upgraded to the 11 because the charge wouldn’t hold anymore. I hated that 11 because it was so dang big. Like loathed it entirely. I couldn’t use it one handed. A year later the 12 came out and has a mini version which is what I have now. I bought the 12 when it came out, and is the only time I’ve had the latest phone—and of course there have been two more releases since then. I agree that apple needs to recognize that not everyone wants a giant phone. I want one small enough to use single handedly and to fit into my pockets securely.

Maybe if they had the iPhone 4 still, I’d be impressed that it still works.

I still use and love my iPhone SE. It still has a home button!
