What sweaters -- at a J-CREWISH PRICE POINT -- have you found that don't pill?

Look on Poshmark for older J Crew and Banana. I have a Banana sweater from 10+ years ago that has held up so nicely. I've also had some luck with Everlane cashmere and Uniqlo.

Uniqlo has better quality sweaters.

+1. Love their merino wool sweaters! I do have to size up from my normal size for those.

That said, I have two pairs I love. One is a boyfriend pair that is the perfect fit streched out. The other is a straight pair that is my go-to weekend/errands jeans because they are comfortable (though i do have to belt them).

But they aren't my first stop for jeans to wear "out" or to work.

Same- I recently took a chance on a couple finale sale pairs (one boyfriend, one vintage straight) and I love them for casual wear.

Still looking for a pair of dressier bootcut style jeans.....

I find that the rise is way too high, and that there is way too much fabric in the seat. I will wear them once and they will be completely baggy where you can grab handfuls of loose fabric just below the rear and all throughout the thighs. This is mostly in the street or skinny styles. I’ve stopped buying jeans from them.

I'm no fan of J Crew, but I don't understand the love for Quince on this forum, particularly as to their sweaters, which pill terribly, are shapeless, and are just not good quality at all. The colors r limited and weird too. I do, though, like their washable silk.

It’s like brandless stuff that supposedly comes from the exact same factories as bigger name brands with supposedly the same quality at a fraction of the price. It’s hit or miss though in terms of fit and quality.

Everlane, Uniqlo - not a sweater but, bought a lightweight collarless “lady” puffer from j crew this fall I think retail price was $140? It came with unfinished button holes and filling (white) sticking out of the jacket (black). Went to Uniqlo and got a snap button version for half the price that looked much better

I bought 3 pairs this fall and the jeans are pretty much the same out of the dryer as they are 12 hours later. There is none of that super sagging.

Wow, which ones did you get? I used to always, no matter what have a saggy butt and knees by mid day with anything from Old Navy. Now it's J. Crew with that issue!

These:
They really do not shrink or bag. I wash them about every other wear and they stay the same pre and post wash!

Uniqlo and Quince. JCrew sometimes has better colors but I actually think Quince is catching is catching up. Their cashmere sweaters now come in a great range of colors. Uniqlo often as great color selection in store (online stuff is always sold out, I feel).
