This sounds like vanity on your part. You feel your child's rejection I a reflection of you. I say this because you are still upset and also you felt the need to gratuitously mention two other status schools that he/she/they "got into."

This could manifest in other ways in the future regarding your child. Look within, and perhaps consider talk therapy for your child's sake.

The rejection is not surprising if you left words out of your application the way you did out of your post title.

I can see why you’re upset. There is simply no education like Potomac. Maybe it will provide an opportunity to write a college education on overcoming adversity later on in life. Really sorry this happened to you and your family.

OP it is normal to feel this way! It’s not something you can express to friends because it’s a little embarrassing. But every time I drive past a certain school I still feel that little bit of anger, many years later.

OPs poor kid. Shes in for a lifetime of issues being afraid of not living up to mom's expectations. Some people shouldn't have kids, OP is one of them.

And I get it, OP, I'm still annoyed by my DC's wait-list frim PK applications!

However, I do think this is a good reminder to our friends on this board who are over-confident in their child's chances. They need a good reminder that it helps noone to be smug.
