Georgetown would be a great option — but the OP wants to Metro or drive. Do you have any suggestions for the OP re: parking?
City Center might also be an option.

I think Old Town and Georgetown are the more interesting neighborhoods.

+2 There is plenty of parking off King Street and parking garages/lots. Obviously, not pointing out my easy to find on street parking area near King St.

Parking easier than downtown Bethesda

Have you tried the underground garage in downtown Bethesda. There is always like 700 free spaces in it.

With Pike & Rose, I just cannot. Their garages are too cramped.

Beautiful - if only there was parking …


There’s tons of 2 hr parking. I go to Old Town all the time and never have a hard time finding street parking about 2 blocks from King Street.

Maman and Tatte both good. Lunch at Terrain. Lots of fun shops.
