Anything to rag on MCPS!
If the best they can do is dig up a story from 10 years ago, then MCPS is in good shape. Any county of over a million people is bound to have a few incidents every decade or two.
Would you like the links to the 50 MCPS teachers and staff that have been
arrested for sexually abusing MCPS students since then? You remember
Joynes, Vigna, Bowman, Pineda, Epps, Greenberg, Flemmer, Robinson, Greco,
Yantos and on and on.
You remember that like Picca, Joynes, Pineda and Vigna were all
left in
classrooms long after they were known to be sexual predators. The
Picca scenario didn't stop with him.
Teachers can and have been fired for being creepy when creepy violated the
Code of Conduct. Dozens have been fired for exactly that. But many have
also been left in classrooms when it is known they are sexual predators.
That allowed them to victimize more children.
Thanks to the teachers at Kemp Mill Elementary and the Parents Coalition
for exposing the Picca case years ago.
