Lolol what? A pain to match the earrings? I’ve had the second hole since I was 10 and recently got a third. I enjoy changing up my earrings but it is really really not hard to “match” and my ears are fine. I wear quality jewelry that isn’t heavy.

At first I balked since getting a second pierce was such a huge deal when I was younger. But the more I thought about it, I couldn’t come up with a reason why not. Both my girls have three in each ear. It’s not a big deal.

Pierced ears is not a battle I choose to fight. If she's asked multiple times and hasn't wavered I would absolutely allow it. If she didn't want them in the future she'd simply need to take them out. No issues.

I didn't think second ear piercings were that big of a deal.

Septums and tongues on the other hand...


You can't make this assumption 100% of the time but the septum piercing is really popular and common with queer people.

Mine got a second in 6th grade. A third in 8th. And recently had a cartilage piercing. It's fine.

And if people judge her or me they can Eff all the way off.


I don't remember the whole timeline, but my daughter (17 now) is similar. It's probably overkill for some, but I think she looks cute - 3 regular per ear, 2 cartilage on the same ear, conch on the other ear.

My 14y son also has his ears pierced. Again, I like them, but even if I didn't, this is a parenting battle I wouldn't have.

I don't know. The hole is still really obvious - that's great that some people's heal all the way up, but mine didn't and it bothers me. I never wore an earring in it after I took out the starter stud.

I have several closed up holes in each ear, can't tell at all. I'm actually a little sad I can't use them. My belly button didn't close, but no one sees it.
