You know "those" type of parents who check the list to see if so and so will be there. FYI I invite the entire entire class plus friends on the side, but that doesn't need to be explicitly known either.

IME, paper invites tend to only get used when the entire class is invited.
The hiding invites for "privacy" reasons is what's a bit funny to, I didn't realize there were so many privacy concerns over a party invite! You learn something new every day.

Yep, this. When parents hide the list, I always assume they are being exclusionary and don’t want people to know. It also makes it more likely that I will decline if I would need a carpool because I don’t want to upset someone if it turns out their kid wasn’t invited.
