Tail up goat was amazing pre-pandemic. When they reopened, they had changed their menu and approach and it's much less good.


Tail Up Goat is so lackluster. Maydan too Imo.

Tail up goat was amazing pre-pandemic. When they reopened, they had changed their menu and approach and it's much less good.

The food has never been good there. I never understood the appeal - there are plenty more places to see and be seen. Is it just that they catered to celebrities and you can get in any time if you have a name the owner/manager has heard of?

I think a lot of places that have become chains aren't as good anymore - Matchbox is a good example of that. When it first opened (what, like 15+ years ago), it was really, really good. Now it's pretty average.

Personally, this is one of my favorite restaurants for that very reason. I dream about the stuff.

Overrated doesn’t mean the food is bad. It means it’s not worth the hype even if it is good.
