I’m too lazy to go look for it, but I swear that there’s at least one study out there that showed this to be true. Rampant homophobia is used as a defense mechanism against others finding out that one is gay.

As someone who was in their orbit for a while in the early 2000s, I have to say this couldn't have happened to a more deserving couple.

I feel bad for their kids though.
