I can’t help but to feel that this is a jab at some or one Deal feeder. Does Deal not have universally strong feeders?

Do 9th graders at Jackson Reed take AP classes?
Nobody takes AP in 9th grade. PP - don’t worry, Harvard is not in jeopardy.
Huh? 9th graders certainly take AP classes. Just not at J-R....
Since Dr. McCray's boss is the crack creator of Honors for All and no-APs-until-11th, things don't bode well for Macarthur.
This. Absolutely agree.

Never change, DCUM. On threads about JR and other DCPS schools there is concern about lack of true AP classes and APs. Exact same posters complain about BASIS being too focused on APs.
I love you all.

Anonymous wrote:Nope. We have a child in 5th at a Hardy feeder and planning on Hardy and MacArthur. There is some concern over uncertainty, but also excitement at the potential for the new, smaller school with very strong feeders.

There’s no clear information of curriculum with class offerings, extracurriculars, etc….
Unless DCPS can get their act together to be transparent about leadership, curriculum, sports, extracurriculars, etc… I don’t think many families are going to take the risk with their kids being the 1st of a brand new high school.
