What do you expect people to do? It is essentially free camp. Plenty of parents saw it this way.

Yes ESY will likely still happen. (Extended School Year)

ESY is not for everyone like regular summer school is.


At my school which is focus, not title 1, summer school is only offered for kids who are very behind and have recommendations due to their grades and test scores. That is what ESY is.
