Long, loose dress. Cotton ideally. No bra. Large scarf or wrap, or cardigan (in part to hide that you're not wearing a bra)

Yeah I think PP probably looks more elegant than those in their leggings and dresses and joggers. That’s what I wear but it’s not stylish.

THIS ^^. And the recommendation for flowy pants sounds great until you're in the tiny, gross airplane bathroom and have to pull those puppies down. They're impossible to keep off the disgusting floor. I much prefer cozy leggings under an oversized shirt/sweater with a comfy tee underneath in case I get hot.

If I didn't get so cold on planes I'd wear midi skirts or dresses because that's what I wear at home for maximum comfort (no pulling, no riding up, it's easy to find cute ones that are forgiving and don't have tight waist bands). But I get cold on planes and just prefer pants.

To me joggers are the answer. Plus there is a range of joggers. You can go straight up sweatpants for red-eyes or long haul flights (just buy something somewhat fitted and cute so you like how you look) but you can also find joggers in twill or other more structured fabrics that are more like pants and can be worn with like a button down camp shirt or a tee or a sweater and will look more pulled together and less like pajamas.

I actually like how they are styled in the top photo, but I'd swap those sandals for a pair of cute sneakers and make sure my base layer on top was whether short sleeve or very light weight, in case the plane gets overheated. I actually might buy these tonight actually!

DH flies to Europe frequently. He wears draw string suit plant from Suit Supply. Polo or T matching light weight suit jacket. Our last flight to Paris I tried out drawstring linen pants a long sleeve body suit and a loos sweater. Will do something similar moving forward.

This point is such a good one. I’m picturing it and… no.

I’ve become a fan of leggings with a long dress over top. I did this dress in black: https://athleta.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=558664#pdp-page-content with black Lulu leggings and a jean jacket over top, and that worked well. I’ve also done joggers, a t-shirt, and slim-fitting jacket. Maybe a shawl/pashmina if a longer flight.

I wear leggings that have no compression from JCrew with either a short sleeve or long sleeve tee depending on the weather and and a knit blazer from Anthropologie. I wear with either ballet flats or designer sneakers. The blazer is comfortable and really pulls the look together.

Nobody wearing Birkenstocks looks put together or good. What you described aside from the cashmere wrap, sounds like a half step up from wearing Spongebob pajama pants and a Champion sweatshirt in public.

Completely agree - birkenstocks and uggs do not make you look put together. Maybe you feel fancy because you have a cashmere wrap?
