The only exercise I actually enjoy and want to do is yoga so I’m going to focus doing that more consistently and do it everyday for 45min to 60 min. I hate strength training. I’m ok with the peloton bike but don’t love it. If I’m just doing yoga and cutting sugars/junk food out can I realistically lose 10 lbs? What else can I add in the jump start my metabolism that would be under 20 min 3-5 days a week? I absolutely hated strength training.

OP, I am a similar height/weight as you and I also love yoga. I lost (and have maintained) 20 pounds last year through diet, power walking 2-4 times a week, and yoga 2-3 a week. Are there more effective ways to burn calories/get toned? Yes, sure. But this is what works for me because I enjoy doing it! Do whatever you enjoy for movement JUST BE CONSISTENT! Clean up your diet too and you will see results and long as you stick with it. I don't IF, but I have a hard rule of not eating after dinner, ever. So, that gets me to a natural 12 hour fast without having to watch the clock.

Just chiming in to point out that somatypes (ectomorph, mesomorph) have zero scientific basis and were invented by a psychologist with no medical or exercise physiology knowledge and were basically an outgrowth of the eugenics movement.

Or “fire”

Where are you located, OP? We can help recommend places.

Certainly not yoga.

You’re not doing the right kind.

I'm not doing any yoga.
Are you referring to doing hot yoga then.

I don’t like hot yoga. But any power vinyasa class would be good for this. I’ve taken classes at my climbing gym where I was watching sweat drip onto my yoga mat as I tried to keep up.

Vinyasa refers to the flow from one pose to the next without stopping between each pose. So, core yoga could be vinyasa if the teacher is adding flows to the class. Example of a classic vinyasa flow - forward food, half lift, fold, step/jump back to Chaturanga. Chaturanga Push up, up dog or cobra. downward dog. Jump/walk forward. Fold. Half way lift. Fold. Sweep to high mountain. Fold. Half way left. Step back to lunge, ………

The flow keeps your body moving between asanas.
