Agree but switch that from kids to people in general!
I have 2 kids, one is a night owl and a non-napper, dropped the nap by 4 years old. The other is more like me-goes to bed early, wakes up early and loves to nap when time allows-he’s 8 years old.

Once or twice a week my 4.5 yo will nap for 1-2 hours. She napped two hours a day until age 4. Sleeps 12 overnight. Some kids are just into sleep. We call her a cat bc she loooooves sleeping

My almost 5 year old still naps at school and sometimes at home. Everything is a range, and our kids fall on one end of the spectrum. It has felt pretty lucky for us. Mine is starting to really drop it now (hasn’t really napped this break and the couple weeks before they mentioned he wasn’t as consistent at school either) and it sucks because he becomes so cranky and has to go to bed early, but even then I think doesn’t really get the sleep he needs. He really benefits from it. I would just go for it while you can!

My 7 year ild napped until K and still does occasionally on weekends. She is up at 6 full of energy every day.

Nope, my older daughter napped all the way up until Kindergarten and even then on weekends until just before first grade (summer birthday, so she napped until she turned 6). She was in full-day preschool where they were required to take a nap so that may have been why but she's always needed a lot of sleep - still does at 10 years old!

One of my children did this. Napped almost daily until kindergarten. Enjoy it, OP.

Consider yourself lucky!

Most kids napped until the age of 7 when I was growing up, but this was balanced by being up and super active from 7 am until 1 pm and from 3:30 pm until ca 9:30 pm.
So, 12 hours of good sleep and 12 hours of running around non-stop.

9-12

How many days is he in preschool?

Five days. If he doesn’t nap he’s fine but he just fell asleep watching tv, it’s like he can’t resist

Maybe he's not getting quality sleep at night and therefore he's not sleeping as much as you think

So that is less normal. Clothes are pretty common.

One of mine was still napping until he was almost 5. I had to wean him off of it the summer before kindergarten. He's 18 now and still takes a nap if he can. He's healthy and active, but needs more sleep than average.
