Really? Most people I know in Bethesda/CC aren't thrilled with their schools and either do private or wish they could afford private. People also move to Arlington because their jobs are in Nova.

I live in Arlington and don’t know the difference between Lyon Village and Lyon Park, so there might be some confusion there. I’ve been thinking we were talking about Lyon Village.

I live in LP and my kids go to an option school so can't speak to local schools but my neighbors seem generally happy with them. Are other Arlington schools really much better or do some of them just not have any low income kids?

Thats Lyon Village, not Lyon Park. The schools (elementary and middle) in Lyon Village are much better.

Thats Lyon Village, not Lyon Park. The schools (elementary and middle) in Lyon Village are much better.

We moved to LP three years ago and love it. Our house would sell for about $1.4M and has a nice yard on a relatively quiet street. No need to spend $2M unless you want to. We moved from DC and have no real complaints about the schools. You can't get amazing (New Trier or Scarsdale) type public schools anywhere in the DC area, but overall our kids are doing well and we have no major complaints and love the neighborhood. Our neighbors are all super nice, even (and in some cases especially) the law firm partners.
