There are a ton of moms in your situation, OP. And worse, many moms are dealing with kids who are into white nationalist online forums. You can Google it and read about it. The big one seems to be that these kids are missing something in their lives and these cult leaders are filling thar void. You are right that just lecturing him on it will turn him off.
