The last time we took the kids there my H and I were sitting in a room with a huge wall size TV watching a football game when an employee brought our 4 yr old to us and informed us she had been running up and down the skee ball lane. Good times! She's 43 now BTW and much better behaved.

Tacky or not, who cares, the one truism of life. Embrace the Chuckie days. Trust thr Chuckies days are long but the years are short and they are some of the best, low stakes, gravy days of child rearing. Man I miss those days! Enjoy!

It’s not about tacky. It is down right trashy. At least the one I went to was. I heard several parents swearing at their kids, saw kids being physically disciplined, overheard a pretty loud and heated argument between adults. No thanks. I really don’t want my kids in the middle of that.

Are you sure you’re not talking about Walmart?

I agree, but I also shop at Walmart (great prices on organic!), and my kids think Chuck E CHeese is fun, so I take them on occasion. I don't think I'd go if I were particularly worried about illness. It's a germ pit.

But not all of them, I mean, I proudly wave that pinky around at Chuck E Cheese while rolling my skee ball with an appropriately classy amount of delight.

+100

The games are actually fun, the kids adore it, and the time passes pretty quickly.

Dirty little secret- I actually like the pizza…

I’m always fascinated when adults get sick from stuff like this. Wash your hands and stop touching your face.

OP, I can’t vouch for the location in Alexandria. If you choose Dave and Busters instead, go on Wednesday when the games are half off.

Yeah but you are mixing infection vectors across a much wider population and many schools.

And in class there aren’t nearly as many high touch surfaces and lots more handwashing and sanitizer through the day.
