Kids are in school in Mclean, I will need to commute into DC 3x/wk.
Depending on your budget, I might look at McLean Hamlet. We left Arlington to get a yard and don’t miss it. My family loves the neighborhood and having friends readily available. Plenty of private school families and there are older homes that are primed to be tear downs if you want a new build. Nowhere to walk to other than the pool/tennis or the rec center, but the Boro and Tysons is a five minute drive.

Looking in 22207, I like some degree of walkability, e.g., around Cherrydale or Lee Heights, but would compromise on that if needed.

Tell us more about what type of house you want, how big of a lot, what type of neighborhood you want to live in, and where your children are in school.
