I’m not against religion and have thought about faking it but I don’t know if I could maintain the facade long term.

It's also a good read just as a story, as he's a good writer in general. But don't get sucked into the PUA world -- lots of guys in tech end up going that route but they over-analyze everything and never really have fun, nor do their dates.

This guy is correct. Twenty percent of the men draw 80% of the women and these guys tend to become players which turns off women from online dating.

You need to meet women in real life. In general you need to build a much bigger network of men and women in your circle. A lot of senior citizen women will fix you up on dates with younger women but you first need to know the senior citizen women.

Many churches have young people single groups. You don't have to believe in God. You don't have to attend church on Sunday. We had a nice Muslim gent in the group that I used to attend.

The groups will get together and have secular speakers. Many times we had covered dish meals.

It was a good way to meet single people of both sexes.

Anyway, OP, I feel like you have to keep trying the apps even though they’re silly. You’re 30? What age range are you looking at? If it’s all women 30 and under, can you try setting your age filters a little higher, maybe 30-35? I feel like you’d be more likely to find a woman who is more looking for stability and to settle down vs. a 20-something who’s more into playing the field and having a good time a little. You sound like a good guy who has a good head on his shoulders - all it takes is one good match!


I’ve been mostly going on dates with women in their mid to late 20’s. I don’t get a ton of quality matches though, it’s not like I have a date lined up every week.


That’s every man who’s not “hot” (your word) online dating. You just have to keep at it and keep your eyes open for meeting a woman IRL.
