With my first I had a positive pregnancy test after conceiving with Clomid, so my doctor wanted to see me pretty early. She asked if I had any symptoms and like sore breasts, nausea etc and I said “nope! Feeling great.” Then I said “I know this will sound strange, but I’m already really winded. Like I can’t keep up with my DH when he’s walking and it’s hard to climb the metro stairs even though I usually climb them daily. Also, I feel hungry and eat a bit and feel full and 30 seconds later feel hungry again.” She told me those are both typical and the shortness of breath is hormonal. I always thought it was the baby pressing on lungs or something so had no idea it could be that early. (I noticed it almost as soon as I missed my period.)

This is crazy and a little dramatic.

yes. I had serious shortness of breath beginning before I was even showing my last pregnancy and it lasted for months and I was in excellent shape. I was told it's hormonal and also related to the increase in blood volume.

If you tell your doctor you had covid and now have chest pain with exertion including during orgasm you will win yourself a heart echo and EKG.

Yep, happened to me, and I’ve read that it has become somewhat common with people wearing smart watches and fitness trackers for them to notice an elevated heart rate before they even know they are pregnant.

This was a big issue for me early in my second pregnancy. I wasn’t showing yet but I got winded even on an easy short stroll to the park. I was healthy, baby was healthy and I am an in shape fairly active person.

You should bring it up to the OB just as a precaution and to ease your worry but, for me at least, it was all completely fine and normal.

Thanks for mentioning that. I recently had my iron checked and was within normal limits. I know it can drop in pregnancy, but usually more so as pregnancy progresses.

This is absolutely a thing!!! I was so out of breath before I even gained a pound. I read it was that all my extra oxygen was going to pump more blood and that my heart was pumping more blood than normal.

Sometimes I could barely breathe.

Progesterone effect. All good!

That was my first symptom, also at about 5 weeks. Nothing wrong with me or the pregnancy.
