I love fresh baguette’s bread but in Bethesda I think Tout de Sweet is better for pastry/dessert.


Yes, have had Buche from both Fresh Baguette and Tout de Sweet. TdS is much better.

We tried the Whole Foods version 2 years ago and were disappointed with it. Anywhere that covers the top of the log with chocolate icing instead of actual chocolate is doing it wrong.

This is where we get ours. We live in Arlington so it's close. So depending where you are in McLean this could be a good option.l

I just remembered a great home pastry chef — Arno’s Pastry. I don’t think there’s time to order from him for this Christmas, but save his name for next year! He does pick up at a few NOVA farmers markets.
