This sounds awesome. I’m on my way.

Ew. And no, most children don’t “love it” either.

Thank you everyone! OP here. One day I’m now planning a white chicken chili, one day make your own sandwiches, and Christmas itself will be basically charcuterie and snacks since we will eat a large dinner. Now for the weather not to disrupt travel!

Love DCUM for things like this.

We always make a big pot of soup, a pasta/bean salad, and then deli meat and cheese for sandwiches. It’s a good variety. Also have eggs on hand — someone always ends up making an egg and cheese sandwich for lunch.

No everyone does not love it. My kids and husband would be hoping there was dessert.

Another vote against this. No one in my family would be happy with this, and it’s not because any of them are children. Lentils are NOT universally beloved.

Four out of my five adult kids would hate this. And they are definitely not picky eaters. Just not fans of lentils. I would love it!

Agree with the salads - can be served as sandwiches, or over greens - Asian Chicken Salad, Coronation/Curried Chicken Salad, etc.
