This yr is phonics. Last yr I think was still the old method that APS used but he did have phonics books last yr too. He has had a tutor for 3 years doing phonics. Last yr he was writing stories in writers workshop, but they don't do that this yr and he has refused all work. I think something bigger is going on, just a struggle to figure it out.
Yes, these are big red flags, I would talk to you child's teacher about am evaluation (or get one privately) Having three years of tutoring and still struggling is not right
