Do you have an only child? I do, too and it has been manageable. I will admit though I have pretty low standards and will send DC to daycare unless it's extreme.

whoops, read too fast, looks like you do have only one kid. I really think 2+ kids is where illnesses start to multiply.

Yes. We’ve had tons of cold, several random fever viruses, flu two separate times, ear infections, strep, etc. Still waiting for the other strain of flu to hit us later this winter and covid. My preschool age daughter has had a ton of stuff but my older kids have had a few illnesses as well. Oddly the baby has stayed the healthiest.

Yes, us too. We haven’t been well since Halloween.

I give my kids a pile of probiotics, airborne, emergen-c gummies etc. every morning. It seems to have helped.

So that was September through Thanksgiving for us but I do feel like it's gotten a bit better in the last few weeks. DD did develop a small cold over the weekend but no fever at all and she seems to be better already. Not Covid. But we had Covid/RSV/flu over an 8 week period starting mid-September and each one just kind of rolled through the family and then the next would start. Plus some cold viruses sprinkled in as well.

It's amazing how much better it is now that DD isn't sick continuously, because she can go to school. I actually developed stomach issues last week (either a gastro virus or food poisoning, we aren't sure as I'm the only one who experienced it) that were pretty miserable, and it was still easier to deal with than when DD is sick. I was even able to work every day despite being pretty sick because when I had periods of feeling better, I could work from bed and get a few things done, since DD was at school and I didn't have to worry about her.

Anyway, sharing this to give people hope -- I do think eventually kids work their way through all of this and it gets better. We'll see if we get hit with new strains of everything in January, but at least right now, it seems like DD's immune system is doing its job.

Same. Starting to get depressed about it. We had your garden variety colds in October and then a nice week where the 18 mo old and 5 year old had HMF. Then 4 out of 5 family Members came down with Covid right before thanksgiving, and now, flu A is here. I don’t know what to say anymore- we eat healthfully, emphasize hand washing and good general hygiene but it feels like we are always the sick family.

That was us a month or so ago. Six weeks of never ending sickness. I can report from the other side that it does eventually end, and it is wonderful when it does.

Among my friends I feel like the exception in that things have not been horrible. I mean DD has gotten sick every few weeks, but she recovered quickly and only went to urgent care once (probably unnecessarily).
