Second thought - doesn’t every woman who ever gave birth experience the need to “dream pee” almost every night? Don’t tell me that sleepwalking to the bathroom in the middle of the night isn’t essential to getting a good night’s sleep! Anyway, could we please all just allow middle of the night bathroom trips for anyone at any age We’re all drinking gallons of water all day per health recommendations.

Pp from 22:15. I agree, parents shouldn’t be pressured to night train early- our first kid wasn’t even day time trained at 2.5, so it didn’t occur to us that our younger one would be dry at night by that age. It just so happened that he had a few diaper-less nights because we were forgetful and then we found a splattered toilet seat the next morning. But a previous poster has a good point about not waiting too long after potty training. I didn’t think our first was ready to be nighttime trained because his diapers were full in the morning. Turned out, he was dry all night and then peed after waking up because it was easier than going to the toilet. I only thought to check after two other moms told me their kids were doing this. That’s why I suggested to follow the kid’s lead.

Op here. I’m not feeling any pressure from anyone to night train her. She’s the one whose body is waking her up to pee! But I’m hoping she got my bladder. I don’t wake up to pee.
