Why would she do this? Running as an independent ensures no Dem in AZ will vote for her (or only they very disillusioned would) and it will split the Republican vote because the GOP will run a MAGA candidate.

I can’t imagine bothsidesing anything after watching all the elections that just happened in her own state. Was she not paying attention? She certainly didn’t help any of the Democrats win.

That's the problem of people voting party over person. Being an independent forces voters to actually look at her positions.

And I think she was a sincere Democrat when elected but became disillusioned as time went on. Very understandable.

Based on polling, she would more likely split with a Republican and Gallego would coast.

So she lied. Rampant among some politicians. Poor quality character but if the voters don't care about character and elect these clowns, into office they go.

She has specifically said she will not caucus with republicans. There are already two independent senators caucusing with democrats now: sanders and king.
