I separate my kids when they get like this. The older one is very subtle and crafty with how she pushes her sister’s buttons, which are many and easy to push. But playing alone is boring so they usually get in line rather than play alone.

Also, noise canceling headphones. I use mine when they’re just being irritating and not mean or unsafe. I figure my irritation is my problem, not theirs.

Yes - i feel like while he loves him, the oldest will also never forgive the middle for being born. For awhile it was lots of physical aggression from both, now its more just trying to stick it to each other ALL. THE. TIME.

The both mainly adore the 1yo but are starting to get more annoyed with him now that he can mess up what they're doing and demand real attention of his own (versus just being passively held while attention is on the others)

I thought perhaps they weren’t getting as much attention since baby came along and they were acting out, but it sounds like this has been going on for quite a while. You have my sympathy. Nothing grates on my nerves like siblings fighting but it does get better as they get older.

As my oldest of two boys said--and he's sadly right--"mom. we're siblings. haven't you ever heard of SIBLING rivalry? we're supposed to do this."
