You can examine the difference between crime in Silver Spring and Bethesda and imagine how that could change when it will be a lot more convenient to travel between the two if you don’t have a car.

BLM had a lot to do with this. They complained that black men were being stuck in jail due to being arrested for minor crimes and unable to make bail. The solution was to get rid of cash bail, so you were either released (RORed) or held if the crime was really severe.

And as we're seeing, a lot of people arrested for "minor" crimes go on to commit major crimes.

We saw the same with MCPS and having police (SROs) on campus. The claim was that black and latino men were being arrested on school grounds as a disproportionately high rate compared to other races. Indeed this was true, however no one spoke about if these arrests were justified and led to convictions. They largely did -- we didn't hear claims of false arrests. The solution to deal with this issue was to get rid of SROs. The result is increased crime on school grounds, including the first-ever in-school shooting (Magruder).

All you have to do is look at a crime map of DC. Nearly all of the crime in Ward 3 is concentrated at near the Friendship Heights and Tenleytown metro stations. I guess it’s just a coincidence.

I also supposed that this group of DC 13 year olds arrested for attempted carjacking in Rockville took an Uber there.

I'd agree with you except they beat a woman. That's not because they're brains aren't fully developed. It's because they haven't learned empathy or been taught right from wrong. They should not be allowed to be home free after violent behavior. Talk about sending a wrong message.

Breaking - Montgomery County police have charged Torrey Moore with the murder of a gas station clerk in White Oak Thursday. When officers searched his apartment they found a pregnant woman deceased and in an advanced stage of decomposition. Police say she was 8 months pregnant
