Maybe you missed the single mom not wanting to spend a lot part..
No I didn't miss it, but appreciate your attempt to snark at me. Why would you think this is expensive and cost prohibitive? This was cheaper than hosting a party at a facility and has a bigger wow factor. You can get a Marriott suite room for maybe 130, bring your own food and put together your spa stuff (amazon and dollar tree) and then add in a bonus of a heated pool. It was by far my cheapest party with the biggest positive response for how it turned out.
You know where you can get a big suite (with the minimum of king bed a queen pull out couch if you are having 4+ people) with a living room and kitchen in DC- for $130? Please share
Not in DC obviously but you already knew that. Why be a jerk about this? Does it make you feel good to crap on this? Go to the burns and you can get two queens in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa.
sure. I think so!Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I had a coworker who had each of her twins pick a friend and they did an overnight at great wolf lodge and did the water park and ordered pizza to the room afterward. For 150 for the room plus 20 for pizza, I thought that sounded like a really fun birthday idea for just a couple close friends.
Is it still a "party" if just 2 kids came?

Yes, it would be nice for your kid to have the party, but I think it'd be odd to expect all the guests (and their parents, who get the gifts, make the time etc) to treat your child as a birthday kid on a random day.
Your kid wants a nice party with friends? Throw a nice party with friends. Don't pretend it's a birthday.
Where has OP indicated that it isn't her kid's birthday?
What a bizarre post.
Was this a response meant for the half-birthday thread?
