Where did you and your tweens stay while in Rome? I am planning to go with my teens during Spring Break. I already booked with Marriott, but I had to book two connecting rooms to accommodate my family of four.

We are a family of 5 and ended up renting an apartment through VRBO. It was so much easier for us. We were in a non-touristy neighborhood (we booked too late to snag a place closer), but even then with iPhones, buses, and Metro (plus an occasional Uber), it was very doable. I was a little sketched out about renting, but was very careful to only book a highly rated host (who had a couple properties, had many excellent reviews (including very recent ones). I think if you look and book now, you can get a nice place in a highly desirable neighborhood. Rome is such a great place!

Turks and Caicos last spring. Simply gorgeous and easy.

Arches is the complete opposite side of Utah from Bryce and Zion. Vegas is far. The better option for Arches is to fly into Grand Junction to drive to Moab. Arches\Zion/Bryce/Grand Canyon is a truly insane itinerary in the time span of spring break.

We did Grand Canyon, Zion and Death Valley. We also thought we would do Arches/Moab. For our timeframe, adding Arches/Moab was too much driving. Still haven’t been there- hopefully can get there eventually.

Zion and Grand Canyon are great. Death Valley was my first time there…all I can say is “wow!” One of the neatest parks I’ve been to.

London with kids 11,11,14. March weather wasn’t gorgeous but also not terrible and good excuse to visit tartan shop across from British museum while waiting for your guide. A week is plenty of time. See Matilda if it’s still on.

We had a great Rome and Florence trip when our kids were 10 and 6 and a lovely trip to Barcelona when they were 14 and 10. Both were with grandparents as well, so a good adult/child ratio.

Fort Lauderdale 1978. I went to VCU. Pre Med & my best buddies went to VA Tech and W&M.
I was sleeping it off in hotel room from prior night while buddies went to beach in the morning.

They were all lathered up with that Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil SPF =0.
Before anyone took skin cancer seriously.

I got a knock on door, I answered, beautiful young lady wanting to borrow our ice bucket.
I offered her a Molson beer which I remember was tasty, but has that skunk smell and after taste

Never made it to the beach that day.
Molson beer and coconut Hawaiian Tropic always takes me back

Costa Rica!

Scotland and Pacific NW were great spring break trips for us. Weather was kind of cool and grey for both, but had a great time nonetheless.
