Im sorry. But kids should not be biting. Parents do better. No excuse to be biting humans.

Im going to share an unpopular opinion but not one of my three kids was ever it bite or anything like that in an actual preschool. I only hear about biting in daycare.

Usually biters are the most spoiled ones, especially girls

The ear bruise is concerning. One of the mom’s in my mom’s group actually
Had an ER doc refer her to CPS because of an ear bruise which is uncommon for an accidental injury. I would definitely investigate the circumstances there.

Also for repeat biting incidents - what is their plan for prevention and supervision of the biter (if it was the same child) to make sure it doesn’t happen again?

yep. It means kids are overstimulated, not appropriately supervised, and/or they arent intervening when things escalate (not aware of what the signs are/dont care).

If you have a biter in the class, vigilance is a requirement AND you need to know the triggers. I

After that it should be rare if kids are rested and teachers are supported. Daycares want you to believe multiple biting incidents every day are totally normal but they’re not.
