To my dying day I will never understand why DCUM is so anti-vegetarian and vegan. Yeah, you're great, you eat animals - go you. What a bold choice! How unconventional! How not like other girls, you are. Your husband will never cheat on you and your kids will all get into Harvard, mother superior.
I eat animals so that I won't die, since that is the best source of iron (no beans and greens are not enough, for me and my body) and I don't want to get iron infusions for the rest of my life. I don't care what you do.
Iron infusions?! I've been vegetarian for 40 years and my iron levels are fine. Where do you people get this nonsense from?
DP but everyone’s body is different and some people do very poorly without animal protein. I am one such person and I compensate with oysters.
That's great! I'm not sure how it's relevant to this thread. Maybe you and your oysters can move over to the food forum. OP was asking about leather bags, then some nutjob came in to say that she loooooves meat and loooooves leather - and we're all really psyched she's found meaning in life, but neither that nor you and your oysters are really helping OP with her bag choice.

Anonymous wrote:I’m fine with leather. I’m not a vegetarian so cows are dying for me anyway. Cows are not endangered. I like that leather means you use every part of the cow. Leather is also sustainable as it lasts a long time, whereas “vegan leather” is just a petroleum product.

Anonymous wrote:I don’t care about brand recognition at all. I do care about buying high quality leather though. I purposely purchase lesser known brands (that are still expensive, but not as much as luxury) that put a lot of effort into sourcing the best leathers and stellar craftsmanship- not made in China.
Good leather wears so beautiful with time and use.
