kids whose kids whose first choice is WM should have applied ED. If they missed that, apply ED2. And demonstrate interest. Lots of interest.
BTDT. Unhooked girl got in with a 4.0W/34 ED. Kids with much higher stats were shut out RD. Between 2 kids, of all the schools we looked at WM and Bates were the two schools where ED mattered most.

I have a friend whose kid really liked Frostburg when they visited recently. My dad is an alum-played baseball there. Remembers his time fondly.
We’re in VA and my daughter (a junior) will probably go to either Radford or ODU, which also are looked down upon here.
Screw the haters - your kid will get a good education and probably for a reasonable price.
