That's what we had for dinner tonight. We went out for the afternoon and got home at normal dinner time. My wife and I thought of getting takeout, but my kids wanted the traditional Black Friday turkey pot pie. So I made it and we had a late dinner. The kids said it was worth waiting for.
My mother always made turkey a la king (which is essentially the filling of turkey pot pie served over toast). I continued the tradition, but put the filling into a pie shell instead.
