I thought you meant romantically, OP, because my BILs have implied something like that about me to my husband.

Anyway. I would find it weird if you did NOT say you liked her as a person! Why keep positive feelings to yourself? Of course your brother has to decide for himself who is right for him, but I'm sure he'd like to know if a girlfriend is a particular hit with his family. It would be a nice bonus for him.

I've always volunteered positive enthusiasm about a relatives SO when it's genuine. Taylor is awesome, etc.

What is not good is the oppressive telling someone to live their life. Sh*t or get off the pot. Or don't let him not buy the own but be getting the milk for free. This is happening now in my extended family where some of the girls family members are putting a lot of pressure on her to marry the man she is living with, and she in turn is putting lots of pressure on him. They are 30ish.

Yeah, the parties involved resent the pressure to get married when they get divorced after 5 years. They are hating on the people who said they must do it.

He will see your enthusiasm "We really like her!!" And that may help him assess, but should not be any kind of deciding factor whether he pursues it further. It's OK to express how you feel, though. You like her, you really like her! But do not go on and on about it, haha.
