If you’re going to ask them not to, I would send large ziploc freezer bags and a small solid nylon laundry bag. Into the ziplock, into the laundry bag and home to you.

It is true that soiled underwear cannot be rinsed or washed but they can bag it and return home.

+1 that is so wasteful, especially for infants! The go thru stages where this happens so often! Ours sends them home in a plastic bag uncleaned, exactly like PPs are saying.

Have two kids in daycare for 6 yrs combined so far.

Depending on where they are located, that’s against licensing rules. You might be lucky or your daycare, disregards licensing rules.

This-it's against licensing regs and against NAEYC standards.

I’ll report them to DC Monday. I just thought they were kind. Not on my watch!

Ask if you can provide a wet/dry bag to have them sent home in. If they permit cloth diaper, they might allow this. Mostly it becomes about where and how to store the soiled items safely until pick up.

Both our daycares would just bag up the dirty clothes and send home. This is very reasonable to ask about. Your daycare may be interpreting a licensing guideline in an extreme way.

I don’t think you need to talk to the director. I would just provide the bags and request they give them to you
