My 7 month old just got over this after 2 months. I took him to the doctor after one month and we got an albuteral nebulizer and then inhaler. Not sure if it helped, though.

OP here - turns out she has an ear infection; got a round of antibiotics. Thanks all!

To the poster who told me to “use my brain” - Obviously, I’m in frequent contact with the ped / nurses line but always helpful to get perspectives from those who have BTDT so I can best advocate for my child, right?

+1 or get a new ped if you feel like yours is not taking things seriously.

They can listen to the breathing inside, that is key

There are things they can suggest if it's more serious like a nebulizer, or tell you if there's a risk of it escalating (like RSV)

OP take your child to the doctor in person. Urgent care something.

Absolutely absurd to be asking on social media.

Be a parent and use your brain, please.

No one should be advocating she not go in immediately.
We are not physicians we have not seen the child and have no idea about anything.
