If it were me I'd skip ballet and the first party. She gets to go to soccer, have downtime, and then go to the 3:00 party. You mentioned the bouncehouse party is for a friend she's a lot closer to, so that would be a bigger priority for me than the playground party.

It really depends on the kid. Do they tend to melt down? Mine definitely would have.

As the parent of an older child (now 9), it gets trickier to skip kids' sports activities as they get older and more competitive. In hindsight I would have done fewer activities when my DD was younger and enjoyed our freedom if I had known what the demands of school and activities would be like by late elementary school. I also have a 2 year old and haven't enrolled him in anything besides preschool. Will start swim lessons soon, but no plans to commit to anything else!

Ha- we have something like that this weekend. We're going to try to do it, but will only stay at the party for an hour before we have to leave for the second activity (which honestly is fine because it's outside and it's going to be cold).

I've decided I'm not a huge fan of 2 classes on the same day at this age but it's only 6 weeks where they overlap so pushing through.

I remember my daughter had a day like that. Sports and then 2 bday parties and then a gymnastics team holiday party. She still remembers it fondly (she was 4 then, now she’s 8 so it’s been a while) and will randomly bring say, “Remember the three party day? That was so fun.”

The only issue I see here is lunch. I agree with the PPs that said you need to 1) pack her a sandwich or something and 2) it’s the first party you are just making an appearance at.

Both of my kids would have been fine doing this, but would be sleep before we left the parking lot of the second party.

I wouldn’t skip anything. I kind of love days like this with 3 yr old DD. It’s a lot but it’s fun, and she’s old enough now where being overtired is no longer a nightmare scenario.

^^ Not that it's healthy, but a party hosted from 11-1 will most likely serve something like pizza for lunch.

We would try to do everything. You're not going to be at the first party very long, anyway. Hopefully that's the playground party because otherwise she's getting to the bounce house just in time for cake and happy birthday.

For us the main danger point in this schedule would be food. I see multiple opportunities for junk food (soccer snack, 2 birthday parties) and no block of time to eat actual food. I would pack a turkey sandwich for between soccer and party one to get real food in the kid's stomach.

No big deal. I would do everything.

Yes. This is too much. Scale back.

DD1 could power thru because she has endless energy and loves a party but I may take soccer or ballet out of the equation. DD2 would be passed out after the 1st party.

It's fine, she'll be exhausted and have a good night's sleep!

Mine would have been fine with that at age 4. Definitely plan on an early night though and to chill and regroup between parties..
