I don’t even like taking baths. Hot tubs are just not appealing.

OP I’d just say “No thank” when they offer the hot tub. If they press for a reason I’d say “Because I don’t like hot tubs.” Why lie? I also don’t like hard alcohol, so I decline that too when it’s offered at parties. It’s the same thing.

I’ve always been skeeved out buy hot tubs, because I guessed they were dirty. But this image is now seared into my mind forever. I’ll probably never get into a hot tub again (and that is ok with me).

I associate hot tubs with the price is right. Contestants would always go nuts over them, and I never understood why.

I don't really understand the appeal of hot tubs or pools (except for exercise). I don't care to share bathwater with other people. Gross.

Hot tubs have zero appeal to me. Public ones seem dirty, and I wouldn't want one personally because I don't want to clean it.

The average hot tub holds 6 people at most. Assuming there are more than 6 people at the party, not all will be in the hot tub so just stay outside with the others. How is this difficult?

I like hot tubs. I don't like hot tubs outside of close family/friends. I think sometimes men think hot tub = get females into swimsuits and in the mood! Definitely don't need to be in a hot tub with someone like that. Say no, don't go, whatever. You are a grownup, you should feel comfortable saying NO without apology. "No thank you" and zero more in explanation. Someone still asking? Leave. Politely, if that's your thing.

I have never understood hot tubs. If I'm looking at homes for sale on Zillow and there is a hot tub, I immediately move on. They are eyesores, for one thing, and I will never get the appeal of sitting in hot water to socialize. What's the point?!
