I found a solution.

1) Allicin supplement 2x/day for at least a week. It's basically garlic. This is the most important thing to get rid of it.

2) Probiotic supplement daily. One with tons of strains. To get healthy levels back.

3) 7-day Physioflor on Amazon. Will need applicators. After that, can use 1 periodically to maintain.

Boric acid never helped me personally.

I had reoccurring BV and yeast infections. I went to a nutritionist and changed my diet. I also switched to 100 percent cotton underwear, gowns with no underwear at night, and use the bathroom and clean after intercourse. All these helped and have been problem free for years.

Why? Did not see that warning on the label...

Anything I can do at home either health/hygiene wise or with diet? I no longer use tampons, and I often change my underwear twice a day. Do I need to... I don't know... air dry my privates after showing? Is that beneficial? Any advice?

I had it. We had to give up all penetrative toys except blown glass. Which is expensive.

NP here. I’ve used a bunch of different brands of the boric acid suppositories—and they all worked the same: really good. If you gave an active situation, then follow the directions on the bottle for that. I think it’s like three times a day for several days.

For me, though, I now use them preventively when I’m prone to issues—after sex and after my period. Usually I’ll just do one before bed for a night or two. And with that method it never progresses to anything bothersome.

I used to really suffer.

I went to my OB so many times because of the symptoms (itching normally) and I couldn’t sleep well. I bought boric acid suppositories and by day 2 everything was gone. It was like magic. Now any time I feel it coming on, I take one at night and it never progresses further.

I have wondered why my OB never once mentioned them and instead would just prescribe antibiotics that never even worked.

+1

I also wet the suppository with water before inserting so that it slides in easily and can be placed deep. Wear a pad because it flushes out everything by osmosis and the amount of liquid that comes out is surprising.

Highly recommend.

I’ve been told you don’t need to treat it if it just shows up on a Pap smear and isn’t causing any symptoms
