So basic. If you actually want to invest in a nice gold bracelet get an Elizabeth Locke or Temple St. Claire. But then people wouldn't know how much you spent, which I assume is the point of the Cartier.

Was going to comment this. I actually don’t dislike either and for a woman with an intentional basic Instagram momfluencer style I think it works but I wouldn’t buy it if I wasn’t specifically going for that look

OP, get what you like and ignore the haters. I have two diamond ones and love them. My husband purchased them for me for significant events in my life. If you don’t want to wear a bracelet that you can’t take off, I’d try the Juste en Clou.

Buy it if you want it. They’ve been around forever so they’re not trendy as some PPs suggest. I wouldn’t call it an investment necessarily but if you can afford it, go for it.

I just saw this post with the link? Why would you buy yourself a manacle that you can’t put on or remove yourself?

I can perhaps see it as a substitute for a wedding band or collar, although it would decidedly not be my preference. However, you’re buying it for yourself so it doesn’t represent a fixed commitment to anyone. Even if you have the jeweler put it on, what are you going to do if you want/need to get it off?
