Me too! Feels like I’m yelling into the wind, but I want my tiny voice heard that I disagree with the county council and our current Democrat leadership (especially after Thrive and Covid).

Voted entirely Republican for our local races. I know none of the candidates will win, but I just can’t vote for the same old sh&t again and again.

Can you step back a minute and just look at that? It's really intolerant, and we are supposed to be the party of tolerance, right? Not every Democrat is a progressive, and you shouldn't just dismiss us because we don't walk lockstep with your purity test. There is no tolerance for rational diversity of thought in this county, and that is part of the reason people are voting Republican.

I know he endorsed Glassman. Who else did he endorse?

Glassman seems normal and fine. Former Harford County Exec with direct fiscal experience and endorsed by Hogan. Lierman seems to ideological for me.

I voted Moore for governor, Sullivan for CoExec, and against all incumbent BOE candidates. I forget the rest -- I sent in my ballot 2 weeks ago.

Sullivan is moderate, and also he'd have to contend with an all-D County Council most likely, that can override any veto. I think it's a good check on both sides.

No. It’s like a Hogan here. He can’t do much against a mostly progressive legislature. He can mitigate some harms though.

You know, like dig the fire department out of its annual $10 million hole without threatening to cut services every year.

+1 I voted all D on the state level, and mostly R at the local level, as long as the R was not a Trumplican.

I am not sure what this CRT talking point is about. If CRT is not taught, then there is nothing to worry about?

Also, Wells is on the board of the largest Black church in the county. Nice way to frame it as an “anti LBGTQ+ organization”. Is Rivera Oven Catholic? Might be about to say that is is a member of an “anti LBGTQ+ organization”.

I voted for Dems and Repubs to balance out power and gum up the system. Power concentrated in one party's hands is dangerous. People need to learn how to compromise and take a moderate approach.

Believe, hun. We exist. Cannot stand the harm that Elrich has done. And don’t want him around to do more. He sinks money into climate change, and ignores core services. The next budget will be a nightmare of increased taxes and service cuts. But hey, climate change mitigation at the county level does as much good as weight loss tactics at the finger nail clipping level. Expect to reach those big goals soon!

False. Silvestre has not received MCEA endorsement.

Rivera-Oven has received endorsements from all “progressive” groups and is way left wing, not “center left”.


MCEA refused to endorse ANY incumbents, though. So you can't draw much meaning there.

To answer OP's question, I'm an "establishment Dem" and voted straight ticket in the statewide races, no on the marijuana referendum, and then voted for the Green candidate over Jawando just because I didn't have an option but think he's an absolute tool.
