OP here. Yes a real mothers helper. Just a 12 year old girl playing/reading/ occupying while I remain in the house.
For this (and I prep food and leave out paper plates/napkins) I pay $10/hr for an 8th grader. I’m home. She just plays with my kindergartner while I work on things like early dismissal days.

A tween shouldn't be paid minimum wage or more or they are greedy. I have a tween. Zero reason for that.
