I was a bookish, shy valedictorian, so yes.
But I got a PhD instead of going to law school, like some idiot, so I am not the typical DCUM demographic. I don't even make 6 figures.

I was a nerd in elementary school. In 6th- 10th I was a rebellious stoner, 11th and 12th boring “get good grades” type. All the popular kids got excellent grades and some were people you’d consider downright nerds, even boys who were destined for GA tech (in state school) and had no luck with the ladies. So while I wasn’t popular, being nerdy/intellectual wasn’t a social downside.
