Yes. I started with The Great British Baking Show and liked it so much now I can’t watch anything without it. Plus of family members interrupt you can still read the captions without missing a beat.

Often. Some hearing loss. Characters talk really fast, accents, jargon that I am too old to get the first time, etc.

Only if it’s British or Australian. Otherwise, I tend to read the captions faster than they’re being said, and the pace of the show is thrown off.

Live captioning is for things like the news or sports, something that isn’t pre-recorded. CC is for shows that are scripted like network shows or Netflix.

Never heard this. But I have ADHD and yes I watch with captions on too. I'm going to look into this (while I'm distracted from another task)

Yes! I thought I needed it because I am ESL. I hate it when I can’t use them on the plane. Maybe I need noise canceling headphones though
