Subject: Nanny is messy/forgetful
I became a SAHM when my kids were little. I was a fun mom who did a lot of messy activities, going to the park, zoo, aquarium etc. But, as a result my house was a mess. Thankfully, I had a maid who came twice a week but I could not multi-task at home when I was paying my full attention to my kids.

You have someone who's more nanny and not much maid. She's good with children, enjoys working with children, but doesn't like to do the "boring" work of cleaning up and assumes someone else will do it. It's much more rare to find someone who's great with kids, you can always hire a cleaner. Now, if you'd rather have someone who helps in both ways, and your nanny is just taking kids to playdates, make sure they're safe, and your kids self entertain/have tons of friends, then let her go and find a nanny who's more cleaner than kid-focused.

Sounds like the good vastly outweighs the bad. I have a lovely nanny who is a total klutz and clutterbug. She has anxiety and also has broken many things BUT she puts up with a lot from my kid. She has brought much joy to DD’s life over the years. So I have learned to let it go. I am visually detail-oriented so I do a round of picking up, cleaning and putting away things left out by anyone in the household before I go to bed. Someday, I tell myself, I will have the place to myself and DH. 😏
